In the end, psychotherapy of this type helps individual successfully improve their lives, gain promotions as available, or help prepare them for a new job or work situation. Regarding life at home, many things there can cause mental problems in people and drive up healthcare costs. Some of the items at home that affect people are, "relationship issues, divorce, and child rearing." Marriage counseling, individual, and group therapies are used to curtail the non-mental health medical costs that may arise. Again, a few dollars spent now for proper psychological therapy means less need for therapy or other medical care in the future. Preventive mental health care is extremely crucial in minimizing long term medical and mental health costs. The only way to achieve these savings is to have yourself evaluated. Most mental health therapy providers will be happy to discuss options with you regarding an initial evaluation. From there you can consider whether individual therapy, group therapy, marriage therapy/counseling, or all three (3) may be the thing for you.
